Polperro, Cornwall
A fishing village that cars can’t reach
Polperro is a working fishing village of narrow lanes and whitewashed cottages tumbling down to a tidal harbour, on one of the prettiest stretches of the South West Coast Path. Cars stay in the car park at the top of the village, so the lanes themselves stay quiet — you walk down to the harbour, the pubs and the water.
Repose Cottage sits right in it, with a garden, harbour views, room for the whole family and a warm welcome for the dog. Talland Bay and Looe are minutes away, Fowey and the Eden Project an easy drive, and the coast path starts just down the lane.
