Somerset

A detached three-bedroom stone cottage sleeping six on the edge of Wedmore, with a wood burner, open field views and a welcome for dogs.

Wedmore

A stone cottage where the Mendips meet the Levels

Wedmore is a small Somerset village in the quiet corner where the Mendip Hills drop down to the Somerset Levels. Stone Cottage sits on the edge of it, close enough to walk to the village pubs and far enough out for open field views.

It makes an easy base for this part of the county. Cheddar Gorge and the show caves, Wells and Wookey Hole are all around 15 minutes away, Glastonbury Tor and the wetlands of the Avalon Marshes about 20, and Bristol under an hour. We write the local guides ourselves, so you arrive knowing where to walk, where to eat and what to do when it rains.
